Mystery behind Bamber Bridge pub closure solved as owners set to create family friendly destination
A Bamber Bridge pub has closed for refurbishment - and is set to be bigger and better than ever when it reopens.
Talking to LancsLive, Craig said: "The area hasn't got what I want to do with it, it hasn't got a family pub. The area's got loads of pubs which accept children etc, but there isn't a pub in the centre where you can just pull up, there's a children play area - which it's historically always had - but yet, but nothing's been spent on it for a while.
"When you develop in an area it attracts many more businesses and before you know it an area thrives again. It’s been my passion since a kid not to only succeed in business for myself and my family but to benefit the local area, bring the community together and create jobs." He added: "It was a very popular pub this, over the years and years, I mean the brewery took over and a different brewery put their own beers on and stuff. With us being free of ties now, I'm open to speak to the breweries and get all drinks and any incentives at a better price.
