“Don’t get left in the dark by storms” is the message from National Grid to customers in the Midlands this winter.

But as the weather worsens, it is urging its eight million customers in the South West, South Wales and the Midlands to be prepared for potential power cuts. They added: “However at this time of year, power cuts can happen and we urge customers to be prepared just in case supplies are disrupted.”National Grid is also highlighting the extra support it offers for vulnerable customers, including people with disabilities, the elderly and anyone who relies on powered medical equipment.
