Neighbour's shock at murder of dad Liam Smith found dead outside his house
Liam Smith, a 38-year-old father-of-two, was shot and doused in acid in the village of Shevington, on the evening of Thursday, November 24. Greater Manchester Police has now confirmed Liam, who grew up in Chorley and attended Holy Cross RC High School, was discovered by a member of the public.

Detective Chief Inspector Gina Brennand from GMP’s Major Incident Team, who is leading the investigation, said: "This is a shocking murder of a much-loved family man.
