It will sell clothing from a range of established brands
A new store is set to open in Nottingham city centre in the next few weeks on Low Pavement Street, just off Bridlesmith Gate in an area known for it's fashion. Mint Duck will be opening its doors to the public from the end of August
"As an independent, we chose the name based on the city and it helps to bring people into the store. It's very Nottingham and we have the freedom to do what we want with the store as independents. The idea going forward is that we want to work with the designers at Nottingham Trent University and possibly stock things from there. We want to champion all things from Nottingham and work with the local businesses here.
As the area rebuilds, the clothing and sneaker brands choosing to establish themselves here are helping the area to reclaim its reputation for being a fashion hub once again. This will mark a welcome return to the city for luxury brand Lacoste who closed last year on Victoria Street as the brand will be stocked alongside other premium labels.
