A Nottingham community hopes new homes in their area will make their neighbourhood "more secure". Work to build 106 council homes in Top Valley resumed this week following the appointment of a new contractor, said Nottingham City Council.
The 33-year-old labourer said: "It will be a bit busier, there will be more traffic. The area will change slightly."We lived in Derby before buying this house three years ago. You will get both good and bad people here, but I hope the houses will make the area more secure." But now she is happy that it is being used to house families. "I think it is good for Nottingham. People need somewhere to live.
