Authorities have been accused of failing residents after allegations that siren warnings did not go off, with some locals saying The death toll rose to 67 overnight and is expected to continue to climb, making it Hawaii’s deadliest natural disaster. Hundreds of people are still unaccounted for.while neighbouring Big Island and Oahu have also faced blazes which have now been brought under control., with more than 1,700 buildings and billions of dollars in property destroyed. Neighbourhoods in the west of the town have been razed to the ground, with 2,000 people evacuated to shelters.
