There are a host of competitions and prizes to be won at Exclusive on Bridlesmith Gate when it opens tomorrow (October 28)

A new shoe shop is to give away £500 and a host of other prizes to visitors on its first day in business. Exclusive, on Bridlesmith Gate in Nottingham city centre, opens at midday on Saturday, October 28.

In addition, the store is to run a host of competitions - the most prestigious of which will see the winner land £500 in tax-free cash. Speaking on Friday , creative director Phil Gillott said: "Both of us are really excited. Mark is the younger blood. He has enthusiasm and drive and ambition. It's not all about money for him. He loves meeting people with a similar passion."We are going to try and be a bit of a community-oriented hub.

The winner of the 'Sneaker of the Day' competition - the customer with the best trainers to enter the store at any point on Saturday as chosen by the owners - will win £100 to spend in store. And there's also £100 cash to be won by the victor of an EA FC24 competition on the store's PlayStation 5. Owner Mark Ali has been trading in the trainer resale market online for years and business partner Phil, who has been collecting trainers himself for 25 years, and estimates he has 3,500 pairs of shoes, says that Mark saw branching out into physical sales as a perfect opportunity.
