One dance mum from Nottinghamshire says she already been inundated with prospective customers before her new shop in West Bridgford has even opened. Since the announcement of the shop, the team say they have had many requests for costumes and more.
Pixie Dust, on Abbey Road in West Bridgford, should open very soon, according to Laura and the team. Using several skill sets to open something so dance parents can get what they want in one place instead of travelling around, Pixie Dust is also collaborating with independent businesses such as Shades Dancewear.Shades Dancewear provides inclusive dancewear products in a range of matching skin tone shades.
Dance bags, leotards, active wear, tutus, shoes, hair products and more will be available at the shop. Providing products and fittings for large dance schools, Pixie Dust are also being approached by Irish Dancers, ballroom dancers, ice skaters and more. Gemma Thompson said: “We can fit pointe shoes which are specialised, one fitting can take up to 2 hours. The good thing about this is that dance teachers and parents will be able to get all they need under one roof.
