Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe provided updates on four players in his pre-Liverpool press conference
Newcastle United boss Eddie Howe provided fitness updates for three injured players ahead of this weekend's Premier League clash against Liverpool at St. James' Park, as well as hinting at his motivation to finally come out on top against Jurgen Klopp's men.
Speaking to Newcastle media on Friday about those two matches, he said: "Last year we were disappointed with two defeats. The one at Anfield was a difficult night and the home game was painful in a different way.READ MORE: Andre may have just delayed Liverpool transfer after stunning performance "He's fit, he's in contention. He's obviously done minimal training with us," Howe revealed about new £30m loan-to-buy signing Lewis Hall, who was announced on Tuesday.
On the subject of Joe Willock, another midfielder who is yet to feature in the 2023/24 campaign due to a hamstring injury sustained at the end of last season, Howe admitted this weekend's match will be too soon.
