He wants to get back into club management and this could be just the project. It’s just unlucky that he is competing with Nagelsmann.
He has consistently said he has no interest in working in the Premier League and yet here he is again, linked with a Premier League job.An intriguing prospect because his style is so far removed from that of Potter and yet it is unquestionably effective. He is one of the few managers who absolutely would not struggle with the usual Chelsea ego issues.There were reports that the Sporting boss was lined up to replace Potter even before Potter was appointed.
