Tens of thousands of ambulance workers, including paramedics and drivers, and health workers voted 56 per cent to 44 per cent in favour of the pay deal.on Friday and the Royal College of Nursing earlier this month. Despite the no votes from Unite and the RCN, the combined membership of GMB and Unison, which earlier voted in favour of the deal, mean it is likely that the NHS staff council will vote in favour of the deal in a meeting next Tuesday.
