Nicola Sturgeon, former first minister of Scotland, denies deleting WhatsApp messages that are relevant to the UK Covid-19 Inquiry. She emphasizes the importance of transparency and expresses her willingness to cooperate with the inquiry.

Former first minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon leaves after giving evidence to the UK Covid-19 Inquiry at Dorland House in LondonNICOLA Sturgeon has said she has “nothing to hide” following reports that WhatsApp messages relevant to the UK Covid-19 Inquiry may have been deleted from her phone.“ Transparency for the families affected, by everybody affected by the pandemic, matters really a lot to me.

Her comments come after the Scottish Government published its policy on social media messages, which says “business conversations” through informal messaging channels should be deleted “at least monthly”. Unfortunately, though, these important debates are being spoiled by a vocal minority of trolls who aren’t really interested in the issues, try to derail the conversations, register under fake names, and post vile abuse.
