No more Kevin the Carrot? Aldi teases new Christmas advert
ALDI has hinted that Kevin the Carrot has been axed from its Christmas advert in 2021.
The animated carrot has been the star of supermarket's festive campaign for five years, winning thousands of fans across the UK.Judging by a teaser clip released bytoday, he'll be replaced by a banana called Ebanana Srcooge - based on A Christmas Carol's Ebeneezer Scrooge. The 20 second video shows a child Ebanana patiently waiting for Santa with a mince pie by the fire onHe then says: "Santa, wait…why didn’t he take me?", followed by: "I hate Christmas…" - leaving viewers wondering what happens next.Fans are likely to be disappointed by the news as Kevin has become extremely popular over the years.
