Sir David Attenborough has backed calls urging people to think twice before cutting their grass this May and June.

On the BBC's Wild Isles nature documentary about the UK, Sir David Attenborough said:"Nowhere here is richer in wildflowers and insect pollinators than our traditional hay meadows. Sadly, in the last 60 years, we've lost 97 per cent of this precious habitat.
