A Post Office spokesperson said: “Regrettably The Pond Post Office is temporarily closed after a major fire at the store on Friday 7 April.
“We are supporting the postmaster. The extent of the damage is still being assessed. It is not yet known when the branch can reopen.The Pond Post Office “There are nearby branches at Vicarage Road, North Watford and Watford, which are all within a mile of The Pond Post Office.”The Pond Post Office sign“A fire investigation follow up was carried out as standard and the incident closed,” a spokesperson added.
