A large investment has been awarded to two primary schools to help them create brand new teaching spaces.

Christ the King Primary received more than £500,000 to improve their learning environment with the addition of two new modular classrooms that will provide more space, and better facilities for the students and teachers.In Muirhead, St Barbara’s Primary School received a makeover that cost around £270,000 which resulted in the refurbishment of four classrooms and the installation of new washroom facilities.

News of the investments in the schools has been welcomed by everyone, including parent councils, elected members and school staff. As well as new classrooms in Christ the King primary School, it’s been confirmed that a replacement trim trail will be installed in the playground over the summer. The trail is expected to encourage social interaction among the students, while also being an engaging outdoor activity that promotes fitness.
