Bosses at several smaller councils are leaving leave before new North Yorkshire Council created.
Council bosses set to be made redundant when one larger governing authority is created in North Yorkshire are to be paid £535,000 between them.
In total, eight local authorities are to be replaced, with payments to leaving leaders being announced by three councils so far.Harrogate Borough Council chief executive Wallace Sampson OBE is set to receive £101,274 in redundancy pay when the council is abolished.
