Danielle Maxwell scored a superb equaliser as Northern Ireland drew 1-1 with Hungary in Group B1 in the Nations League at Seaview.
The draw keeps alive Northern Ireland's hopes of finishing second in the group and they sit one point behind Hungary. When Hungary broke Turner produced a strong save to keep out Papai, who had raced through one on one after beating the offside trap. The best chance of the half fell to McFadden just over the half-hour mark when she swivelled and fired a half-cleared corner inches wide of the post.Northern Ireland grew into the half and Simone Magill forced Reka Szocs into a smart save, but the Aston Villa striker had drifted offside and it remained goalless at the break.That sparked Northern Ireland into life and they pressed forward, but Hungary looked dangerous on the counter-attack and Luca Papp fired wide from outside the area.
