An inspection in May 2023 found that the overall rating for the service had changed from 'good' to 'inadequate' and the service was placed in special measures in June
A Mapperley care home has remained in special measures following a recent CQC inspection. Alexandra Lodge Care Home had its registration suspended following an inspection on June 6 this year, and inspectors said that a number of risks remained at the service, in Lucknow Drive, when it was visited again on August 2.
Other issues noted included the continued lack of sufficient staff as well as water maintenance not being completed on-site. The CQC said: "After the last inspection, we suspended the provider's registration. We returned to the service to see if any changes had been made. This is to ensure the safety of people using the service in the future. We completed a targeted inspection.
Due to the targeted nature of the inspection, the service remains in special measures. In an inspection in May 2018, the provider received a rating of 'good', but findings in an inspection looking at part of the service in May 2023, found the overall rating had changed to 'inadequate' and in the CQC report published in late June, the service was placed in special measures.
