Latest Nottingham Forest transfer news as Reds eye signings before summer window closes
Nottingham Forest are said to have explored the possibility of signing Nantes goalkeeper Alban Lafont earlier this summer.
And according to Ouest-France , Lafont was on Forest’s list of potential targets. The Reds are said to have “sought information” regarding a potential deal for the 24-year-old before they eventually opted to sign Matt Turner from Arsenal. Turner made his debut for Steve Cooper’s side in last weekend’s 2-1 loss at Arsenal and looks set to get the chance to establish himself at the City Ground.
Henderson’s thigh injury, which had kept him sidelined since January, was already proving an obstacle to getting a deal done, along with United’s own complicated goalkeeping situation. And now an injury to another United keeper in Tom Heaton means he could find himself staying at Old Trafford as back-up to Andre Onana.
