Ruby Eden's baby boy was born weighing more than 11lbs

Ruby Eden was told by doctors and nurses that her tot would weigh around 9lb when he was born but he ended up tipping the scales at 11lbs 13oz. The 24-year-old said she had two scans when she was 34 weeks pregnant, with a midwife remarking that he looked "slightly on the bigger side".

He was diagnosed with a condition known as polyhydramnios which is caused by too much amniotic fluid around the baby during pregnancy.

She continues: "Not one person could have warned me about how big he was. After they pulled him out of the section every single person in the theatre gasped. The midwife just looked at me and said 'he is a giant' and I thought 'oh that's great', and then she was like 'no, he's huge' and I was like 'oh, ok'."
