A 41-year-old woman has been charged after a dog attack left a 12-year-old boy with 'life-changing' injuries. Paula Jenkins faces two counts of being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control causing injury. Greater Manchester Police said the 12-year-old was hurt on Villa Road, Oldham in Greater Manchester, at about 11.30am on Sunday. He was left with 'serious injuries, believed to be life changing'. A woman aged 31 was also attacked and has received treatment.
The animal was 'safely detained' at a kennel after armed police and a dog unit were sent to the scene. The breed of the dog had not yet been disclosed. An eyewitness who called 999 told the Manchester Evening News that the dog followed the boy, who was on his bike. Anj, 31, told the newspaper: 'The kid came from behind our house. He was on his bike and came down the road and the dog was following him. I thought it was his own dog at first.
