A fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury is all but agreed with a likely date and location established.
That’s according to the Ukrainian’s manager, Egis Klimas, who told talkSPORT negotiations for the undisputed heavyweight fight had begun before Fury’s recent win over Derek Chisora. A fight between Fury and Usyk could see the first undisputed heavyweight champion crowned in the four-belt eraIn the immediate aftermath of the win that saw Fury defend his WBC belt, attention quickly turned to“We’ve been in negotiations even before the [Chisora] fight, that’s why we showed up to the fight,” Klimas explained.
“So, I’ve been speaking with Queensbury promotions before and we spoke to Top Rank [on Thursday] morning on a conference call.“Two heavyweights, the best in the sport today, undisputed heavyweight championship bout, that is what the fans need.” Klimas was then asked about a potential date and location for the fight and he said: “Most likely it is going to be no later than March 4 and most likely it will end up in the Middle East.Usyk has experience fighting in Saudi Arabia having beaten Joshua there in their rematch
