Who NEEDS a move in January? These guys, that's who.
The Premier League is back! Finally! An entirely unproblematic competition to just enjoy after that sickly guilty pleasure of a World Cup. And guess what? Not only is the Premier League back, back, back but there’s also almost instantly going to be a transfer window. Which, as we know, is far better than football.
So here’s a player for each of the 20 Premier League clubs who needs to get themselves buggered off somewhere new in January…We thought we might be doomed before we’d even begun for a minute there, because this is not particularly a time anyone wants to be leaving Arsenal, is it? But we’d forgotten Cedric Soares exists.
Anyway. Soares. Third-choice right-back at best for the Gunners and didn’t even get any significant game time in the Europa League, which is when any Big Six fringe player really should accept the jig is up. Fulham are keen and also if we remember rightly were half-decent in the before times of November and such. It’s not too mortifying a step down, is it?One appearance this season, as a 90th-minute substitute in the 3-1 win over Manchester United.
