Oregon man, 70, pleads guilty to stealing identity of a dead child more than thirty years ago and using it to get double retirement benefits
Robert Lizaragga, 70, stole the identity of a dead child in 1991 after reading of their death in the news - he said he got the child's birth date from court records. He collected social security upon his retirement under his both names. On Monday, he was sentenced to two years probation - he could have been sentenced to up to 10 years, but was spared due to his health concerns.
