The Baltimore Orioles indefinitely removed lead TV play-by-play announcer Kevin Brown from the broadcast booth for pointing out the team's past struggles on the road against the Tampa Bay Rays, according to multiple reports.
Ghiroli further reported that Orioles ownership"enacted a new policy mandating that their broadcasters wear only team gear when on-air, which has rankled some," this season.
One unnamed broadcaster"got in trouble" as a result of the policy, which led Brown to take over radio duties for the aftermentionedthe Associated Press that the O's don't comment on personnel matters but were looking forward to having Brown back soon. A message from the Associated Press was left with a MASN spokesman seeking comment.
