Milly-Rose Stirrup tragically died just hours after being admitted to hospital with tummy pain
It's been nearly six months since Shaun and Pip Stirrup suffered a tragedy that no parent should ever have to go through.
Her parents took her to A&E at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital but her observations appeared normal, and they decided to take her home for some much-needed rest. "We are still in the dark, it's just horrible," Shaun said, speaking to the Manchester Evening News. "We are stuck in limbo. We are grieving every day but your mind just doesn't stop.
"We are not doing great," Shaun said. "It's my birthday this week and it's just not the same. Milly's birthday would have been Thursday so it's a tough week. "With our bereavement team we feel they did as much as they could with what was available but there is no government funding for bereavement services so we want to help," they said.
