The parents of a groom say they were uninvited from their son's wedding after being told they "weren't good enough" for his fiancée's family. Having been unceremoniously dumped from the special occasion, they then decided to sell the house that the bride and groom were living in.
He took to popular discussion website Reddit to ask whether he was out of line, given the circumstances. In his post, he explained how they were pulled aside at a BBQ they had arranged so the two families could get to know each other better following the engagement. "I was livid, I called my son and asked him what this was about. He tells me that her family feel that we are not good enough and will embarrass them at a family wedding and that we are all uninvited from the wedding."
He added that it turned out the bride-to-be and in-laws thought that his son owned the house. When his son called him, the fuming dad threatening to get a lawyer and have them evicted if they weren't out in 30 days. A second user commented: "I actually find it hilarious he is soo entitled to the house he didn't even expect you to take it back after his actions. I believe this is exactly the reality check he needed."
