The family sparked fury among locals for 'ignoring' warning signs
A family of campers have sparked fury on a Scots island after driving their car onto a protected beach and pitching up their tent.
Locals took to social media to express their dismay, claiming that the group ignored signs not to drive onto the beach, which is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest. Peter Harris, who shared the photos to the Isle of Harris Facebook Group, revealed the campers apparently had no intention of moving after they were warned about the dangers of camping close to high tides.
Thousands responded angrily to the post, with many furious they had allegedly breached beach rules, reports the Mail Online. Many joked about the family's car and possessions getting swept away by the tide, while others were concerned for the younger members of the family.
