HOMEHUNTERS are being given the chance to snap up a flat within one of Glasgow’s most iconic buildings – for just over £100,000.

The B-listed Beresford building, which first opened as a hotel in 1938, was described by historians as Glasgow’s first ever skyscraper and was the tallest building in the city for several years. It features a living room/kitchen, double bedroom, shower room with a three-piece suite and storage off the hall.

When first operating as a hotel, it was a favoured stayover location for American servicemen during the SecondIn 1939, John F. Kennedy - the soon-to-be American president – gave a speech at there, his first public address in a career that would peak in the White House.
