More than 50 drivers spotted breaking law in hours on major Greater Manchester road
Police stopped over 50 vehicles driving along Bury New Road in one day after vowing to crack down on illegal behaviour in the area.
Two drivers were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drink or drugs along the stretch of road on Friday afternoon .Police pulled over dozens of other drivers for offences including 20 for not wearing a seatbelt and 14 for using a mobile phone at the wheel. "More than 50 offences were committed including 20 for not wearing a seatbelt and 14 for using a mobile phone."
Last week, police revealed 20 tonnes of fake items - including 'hundreds' of illegal vapes, were seized in raids on 'some of the last remaining shops' selling goods.
