The thermal camera, built by University of Oxford scientists, will help pinpoint water on the Moon's surface.

It will track whether water is transformed into a gas as the surface heats up, or accumulates like frost in the shadowed regions as the surface cools down. Both pieces of kit were installed on the satellite, which measures 3.5m wide with its solar panels fully deployed.
