The alarm was raised shortly after 3pm
A paddle boarder and their dog were rescued from a Scots bay yesterday after getting into trouble in the water.
Stranraer Lifeboat was alerted to the incident and raced to the large bay, along with hero workers from Portpatrick and Drummore Coastguard teams who were also on standby to offer assistance. Search and rescue teams, some of whom are decked out with safety equipment, gather near the shoreline while the rescue operation takes place.
