Paul McKee arrested after subjecting several young girls to a catalogue of abuse over the course of nearly 25 years.
A paedophile magician nicknamed "Professor Paulous" has been left with serious injuries after being attacked by a fellow prisoner.
McKee is facing spending life behind bars after being locked up for 30 years at Liverpool Crown Court last month. His sickening behaviour was eventually reported to the police in 2017. In their "harrowing, dark and disturbing" accounts, the complainants described how he "treated them like little sex slaves" when they were aged as young as two.
During this time, McKee was known to allow young children to "come and go" to his house as they pleased and permitted them to drink and smoke on his premises from an early age. The ECHO was told he kept a pig in his back garden as well as having marmoset monkeys, meerkats and sugar gliders as pets - with animals also being held in a cupboard underneath his stairs.
The Echo reports the Royal Thai Police kept McKee under surveillance for two months before his arrest in September last year after a tipoff from a friend as to his whereabouts in the north eastern part of the country, near to the border with Laos. He was eventually returned to this country on Christmas Eve.
"You, on the other hand, have shown not one sign of remorse. You do not seem to experience shame, guilt, remorse or empathy - you acted on your own sexual desires with no care for the traumatic impact on the children you abused." The same court heard in January this year that Kenny had boarded a double decker bus in September 2021 and sat next to a man and opposite a teenager who was on her way home from college. He asked them if they wanted to buy some tobacco before touching the girl on the thigh.
The following month, Kenny stole £34 worth of Toblerones and Daim bars from B&M in Clayton Square. After being spotted by police community support officers, he ran off into the Blob Shop pub where he was arrested - then racially abused the PCSOs as he was being transported to custody.
