Palestinian DJ and festival founder ODDZ has died.
‘We have recently heard there is an operation that could save Odai’s hearing, but without medical insurance, he is not able to afford the procedure which costs around 1600 Jordanian dinars .
‘We started this campaign to raise £3000 to cover Odai’s medical bills plus attendant costs and post-op recovery time.However, friends were fundraising for an operation to help restore his hearing ‘In their most recent medical diagnosis, the doctors have informed Odai that if the surgery is not performed as soon as possible the perpetual infection will permanently damage the ear drum and result in deafness.’
They added that Masri was not able to return to Palestine at the time ‘without facing charges against him by the Israeli government’ due to him being a ‘Palestinian Rights Activist.’‘The last three years were heavy, very heavy, and I always had thoughts to give up,’ he wrote, going on to thank his loved ones for their support.
‘People that I will be forever and ever thankful for, those who’ve always been there for me, lifting me up and never letting me down. Thank you.’
