P&O Cruises said it was aware of the incident and was working to assess the situation, with the captain keeping guests updated
Brits on board a P&O cruise ship have spoken of how it was "panic stations" when it collided with another vessel. The P&O Britannia reportedly crashed into another boat off the coast of Palma in Mallorca.
The passengers, who did not want to be named, said guests were told to assemble at emergency stations on the ship. They were told "this is not a drill" by the captain after a loud bang was heard and debris was seen in the water. "We went out onto our balcony and could see debris in the ocean and all the damage to the side of the boat and our lifeboat. The captain said ‘Everyone to their muster stations, this is not a drill’. Lots of people were running around looking panicked.
