The council-run service is registered to provide a care service to a maximum of 60 children aged 3 years and over.

An Ayrshire nursery has been given the thumbs-up from the Care Inspectorate after an unannounced spot check.

Among the key messages the Care Inspectorate said staff supported families and had built up “good, positive relationships,” the service “worked well” with other agencies to support children in their learning and development and the centre enjoyed “good links” with the local and wider community. The report goes on: “Staff engaged in home visits and met with children at familiar playgroups prior to them starting at the service. One aspect of slight concern, according to the Care Inspectorate, was in relation to medication processes, which they said were “not robust.”
