The works will begin this week.
The M8 junction 11 Eastbound on-slip will be shut from Tuesday, May 2 until Friday, May 5 as essential works are set to take place on the Stepps overbridge.
Between 8pm and 6am essential lighting column replacement works will take place, to improve lighting and reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.The work will be carried out using overnight lane closures and a signed diversion will be in place. Traffic travelling eastbound on the M8 via Junction 11 on-slip will be diverted via the Junction 11 westbound on-slip and the Junction 12 westbound off-slip to the A80 and Gartloch Road.Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout these works.
