The unnamed 19-year-old took to Reddit to discuss the mind-boggling revelations about her father and his side of her family
A young woman has shared a jaw-dropping tale of family secrets, which led to her being told that she and her boyfriend are second cousins. But a further bombshell at the party cast doubts about the couple's biological links - because the teen's parentage was called into question.However, at a recent family reunion, her boyfriend's mother became upset after seeing a photo of the young woman's grandmother, from her father's side of the family, reports the Mirror.
"My grandma and her dad kept this a secret from the rest of the family . So, the math started, our grandmas were sisters, which makes my dad and his mom direct cousins and me, and my boyfriend would be second cousins." Top news stories today Her dad then confessed he wasn't actually her biological father, which caused her even more upset, having gone into a relationship with her mother when she was already pregnant.
"But my mom didn't want people to know that I wasn't really his, so she made him keep the secret for 19 years. I really hope it's all true since I have no proof that it is, but it seemed pretty legit since I have never seen pictures of them from before my mom got pregnant, only after. This is driving me crazy and I just needed somewhere to vent."
