Paul Merson has been speaking about Liverpool midfielders Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister and Thiago Alcantara
The Reds fought off competition from mega-rich Newcastle United to sign Szobozlai in the summer. A £60m transfer dee placed pressure on the Hungary captain but, just 10 games into the campaign, it is safe to suggest any doubts about his price tag have been quashed.
As the marquee addition to Liverpool’s revamped midfield, Szobozlai has already become a fans’ favourite on the Kop. And Sky Sports pundit Merson revealed the midfielder has “blown” him away with his performances this season.
