In a statement the band said they are ‘deeply saddened and shocked’ by his deathHappy Mondays bassist and founding member Paul Ryder has died aged 58, the band have confirmed.
“A true pioneer and legend. He will be forever missed. We thank you for respecting the privacy of all concerned at this time.Ryder, a member of the band since its inception in 1980, left the group in 2001 following its 1999 reunion.
