Unison has turned down the proposed deal which was made on the condition that the union took it to members and suspended strikes with immediate effect.
Schools across South Lanarkshire are set to shut down next week after one of the country’s largest unions recommended rejecting a “final offer” of a pay increase for staff in a bid to avert action.
