PC Patrick Harrison is facing a misconduct hearing following call centre incident

A West Yorkshire Police officer is alleged to have 'imitated an Indian accent' after speaking to a woman about a hate crime attack.

PC Patrick Harrison was on duty and working in the force call centre when the incident is alleged to have happened, according to West Yorkshire Police. The force has published details of the case ahead of a misconduct hearing due to take place on October 11 and 12. The force said: "PC Patrick Harrison will attend at a misconduct hearing for allegedly breaching the Standards of Professional Behaviour in relation to authority, respect and courtesy and equality and diversity."Whilst on duty and working in the Force Call Centre, PC Harrison spoke a female who was making a report of a hate related assault.

"It is alleged that once the telephone conversation had ended, PC Harrison made inappropriate remarks about the female and the concerns which she had raised and spoke in an imitated Indian accent."
