Police officers discovered he'd been playing football with friends
A policeman who said he was so badly hurt in a crash he ‘couldn’t even lift a kettle’ has been jailed for defrauding his force of £150,000.
He had a minor crash while off duty in 2017, after which he reported himself unfit for duty due to being in ‘severe pain’. Appearing at Salisbury Crown Court Littlefair was jailed for two years and three months after admitting a single charge of fraud by false representation. When bosses offered him reduced hours and the chance to work from home, Littlefair refused, complaining ‘he was in such severe pain he couldn’t carry out his tasks’.
