A scared young pelican which escaped from a zoo after being spooked has been spotted 30 miles away - swanning around on a lake with some new feathered pals.
And it's now been pictured 30 miles away swimming in a lake with swans at Middleton Nature Reserve in Heysham. Amazing pictures show the pelican swimming around with the swans, blissfully unaware that people are looking for it.A spokesperson said: "We continue to receive calls with positive sightings and our keepers respond to each one. The nature of the rescue is extremely complex and difficult, but our team will continue in their efforts.
