People 'thrown in air' and 'screaming' heard after motorbike reportedly smashes into side of taxi

Two people were reportedly 'thrown in the air' after a motorbike smashed into the side of a taxi on a main road in Walkden on Tuesday evening .

According to eyewitnesses, the motorbike, which had reportedly been travelling down Manchester Road East shortly before 6.30pm, had hit the white taxi, smashing into the side of it before two riders were 'thrown in the air'. Greater Manchester Police is still to confirm the details of the incident.

"Both of them were thrown in the air over the taxi. They have gone into the side of it and both gone over. We were on the way down in the car when they crashed."
