Liverpool's Assistant Manager Pep Lijnders has revealed the kind offer he received from FSG President Mike Gordon upon his arrival at the club.
Another key person behind the scenes at Anfield is FSG president Gordon. "That was a really tough time, because Brendan left," he said. "I read it on the news and I call him and say, ‘If you go then I should not be here’ and five minutes later he called Mike Gordon, for sure, because he called me and said you are going nowhere, you stay, you are going to work with the new manager.’"
