Emergency services rushed out to the scene
Emergency services scrambled to a major Tameside road following a crash involving a car and a tram. Police, fire crews and paramedics were sent out to the scene on Droylsden Road, at the border of Audenshaw and Droylsden, before 9am today .
No trams were able to run between the Ashton and Velopark stops for more than an hour following the smash. A GMFRS spokesperson said: “At 9am on Wednesday, May 10, firefighters were called out to a road traffic collision involving a tram and a car on Droylsden Road, Audenshaw.
