A Glasgow woman has set up free strength and conditioning classes for people with disabilities after a wheelchair user who said they wished they could run 'lit a fire in her'.The 35-year-old qualified personal trainer kicked theREAD MORE:Tania, from the city centre, told the Glasgow Times: “I was inspired [to start the sessions] after seeing the need to create these spaces for everyone - able or disabled.

The programme's objective is to promote health and fitness for everyone, regardless of their abilities or disabilities, and to create a fun and inclusive environment where people can enjoy the outdoors whilst making friendships and connections. During these sessions, attendees are led through a workout which may include heavy slam balls, battle ropes, kettlebells and performing exercises like squats and shoulder presses.

“It has been received with great acceptance from disability groups, charities and mental health groups.”Sandra’s sister, Carol Fraser, 41, from Dennistoun, said: “The first night after doing the session she was absolutely buzzing and so chatty after her class.“She trusts Tania, who is really helpful.
