Pet Shop Boys still charm a crowd 42 years on at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena
The Pet Shop Boys delivered to a tee their musical style with an energy that was electric and an atmosphere that was pulsating as they took the stage at the M&S Bank Arena on Friday.
The duo, composed of Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, demonstrated their knowledge of how to curate a masterstroke of a setlist by opening the show with fan favourite Suburbia. From that moment on, they commanded the audience's attention as they followed their hit single in quick succession with Opportunities while Where the Streets Have No Name had the crowd on their feet.
Credit should also be given to Clare Uchima from the backing band, who effortlessly stepped into Dusty Springfield’s shoes to perform What Have I Done to Deserve This in a duet with Tennant.
